About Our Lead (Strategy and Operations) Opening
We are hiring a Lead, Strategy and Operations to spearhead the formulation and implementation of critical strategic priorities at the Centre for Trustworthy Technology(CTT). This role entails devising the overarching strategy and operationalization of Centre’s diverse range of initiatives with the goal of fast-tracking progress and maintaining effective communication with essential stakeholders.
Reporting Lines and Interactions:
The Lead will report to the Executive Director(ED) of CTT. They will work closely with programme teams across the C4IR Network and World Economic Forum(Forum). They will build and sustain strong and collaborative relationships with industry and policy teams whose work intersects with the CTT’s work streams.
Responsibilities:
Institutional Management
- Support the development of synergies, consistency in approach, and knowledge sharing across multiple initiatives, projects, and activities within CTT.
- Connect and communicate with CTT staff to understand multiple needs, perspectives, and strategic priorities, and translate those requests into consistent and actionable plans leveraging institutional platforms and tools.
Strategic Planning
- Work closely with the CTT leadership team to implement a holistic design and execution strategy for the Centre activities throughout the year, with the objectives of streamlining activities, increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness, and increasing impact-oriented results.
- Identify opportunities, in close collaboration with the CTT ED and Leadership Team, to strengthen CTT strategy and impact.
- Lead the simplification and streamlining of the CTT workstreams.
Operational
- Drive strategic priorities forward through comprehensive planning and communication, streamlined processes and the creation of frameworks where necessary.
- Develop documentation, tools, and data to facilitate strategic decision making.
- Ensure the seamless integration of representatives from Member companies, governments, civil society, academia and other stakeholders into the CTT’s work and communities.
Initiative Incubation and Resource Mobilisation
- Build and maintain a pipeline of issues being considered for potential nurturing and incubation including the underlying rationale (i.e., strategic fit, risk analysis, resourcing needs etc).
- Define and lead the incubation process of selected issues, developing them into projects with clear expected outcomes follow-on steps.
- Lead resource mobilisation efforts for new project opportunities identified in collaboration with CTT Leadership Team.
Key Deliverables and Measurable Outcomes
- Strategic relationships formed and maintained with relevant affiliate Centres in the C4IR network, Forum, and industries on issues of common interest or intersection.
- A well-structured and managed CTT workstream repository that is regularly maintained and that acts as a strategic reference point for the its engagement on issues that have interdependencies with trust and technology domains.
- A pipeline of issues that are being nurtured and incubated as projects/assignments with clear expected outcomes and assimilation processes into the CTT’s activities and Strategy.
- Identified and pursued resource mobilisation opportunities.
- Present strategic priorities clearly and formally to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring concise communication and alignment with the CTT objectives.
Preferred Requirements and Experience
- Advanced university degree in strategy & management, business, or other relevant fields.
- 7+ years of proven experience, including in strategy development and operations.
- Understanding and experience in trust and technology domain is preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to forge strategic relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interact efficiently and confidently with stakeholders.
- Proven project management and coordination skills; attention to detail; capacityto apply critical thinking, synthesize various viewpoints, effectively communicate critical messages, and consult broadly across diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently, managing both long- and short-term objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Agile, with a positive and constructive attitude towards getting things done, connecting the dots, and delivering results while embracing change.
- Outstanding command of English, with excellent written, digital, and verbal communication skills; knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
- Ability to understand multi-stakeholder interests, align those to CTT vision and drive impact.

- We anticipate the starting salary for this role to be in the range of $80,000 – 90,000 based on experience. Beyond career-defining work, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support you along the way:
